Asthma project information
Asthma & thrombomodulin
This 3D animation illustrates some immunological reactions observed in patients with asthma.
The first part describes how allergens activate dendritic cells, a key process triggering asthmatic allergic reactions.
The second part describes the role of the membrane protein thrombomodulin deactivating dendritic cells. This leads to the inhibition of the allergic reaction and the improvement of the asthma condition.
